IMTU Fees Structure, Prospectus & Almanac
The International Medical and Technological University (IMTU) is a private university established in 1995 by the Vignan Educational Foundation (VEF) to promote the spirit of South-South cooperation. The VEF of Bangalore moved with establishing the university in Tanzania at the behest of the Late Mwalimu Julius K Nyerere, the First President of the country.
IMTU was inaugurated by Shri. I.K. Gujral, then the Honorable Prime Minister of India on September 17, 1997. IMTU was visited by His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalaam, then the President of India in 2005 during his official visit to Tanzania.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was established between VEF, Bangalore and Government of Tanzania in establishing the university. The university was recognized by the Government of Tanzania through the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and the charter awarded in 2010 that was signed by the president of Tanzania.
ABOUT US
The university commenced its academic programs thru the establishment of college of Medicine which was inaugurated on September 17, 1997 by the then Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri I.K. Gujral.
The picturesque IMTU campus located at the New Bagamoya Road on the Mbezi beach area of Dar es Salaam.
