Save time and get Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) details here at .<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) is an autonomous multi-sectoral regulatory authority established by the\u00a0<a href=\"wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/EWURA-Act-Cap-414.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">EWURA Act Cap 414<\/a>\u00a0of the laws of Tanzania. It is responsible for technical and economic regulation of the electricity, petroleum, natural gas and water sectors in Tanzania pursuant to Cap 414 and sector legislation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vision<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EWURA\u2019s vision is\u00a0<strong>\u201c<em>To be a World Class Regulator for Sustainable Energy and Water Services\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EWURA mission is \u201c<strong><em>To regulate energy and water utilities in a transparent, effective and efficient manner that ensures their quality, availability and affordability<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The functions of EWURA include among others, licensing, tariff review, monitoring performance and standards with regards to quality, safety, health and environment.
