Undergraduate programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not be more than 26 years old and not less than 18 years old;<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum of five (5) credits for Diploma programmes);\u00a0<strong>OR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Have an Advanced Certificate for Secondary Education or equivalent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>B. Masters Degree Programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be below 35 years old; and<\/li>\n<li>Have at least an upper second class undergraduate degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>C. PhD Programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be below 40 years old; and<\/li>\n<li>Have a first class undergraduate degree from a recognised University or a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil. degree) and meet the requirements of the awarding body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>D. MPhil\/ PhD<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have an undergraduate degree with at least an upper second class (or CPA\/GPA greater than 60%) and preferably with a Master degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Documents required<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>(i) A completed application form;<\/li>\n<li>(ii) Certified copy of birth certificate;<\/li>\n<li>(iii) Certified copy of biodata page of passport (if available);<\/li>\n<li>(iv) Certified copies of relevant educational certificates and transcripts along with a certified translation if they are in a language other than English or French;<\/li>\n<li>(v) Copy of conditional offer (letter of admission) by a public Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Mauritius;<\/li>\n<li>(vi) A report of medical examination issued by an official medical body;<\/li>\n<li>(vii) A detailed research plan of about 750 words for Masters and 1500 words for PhD; and<\/li>\n<li>(viii) Supporting statement from a prospective supervisor from a University for PhD candidates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Scope of the scholarship<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The scholarship covers the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>(i) Tuition fees and course-related costs;<\/li>\n<li>(ii) Go and return airfare;<\/li>\n<li>(iii) Living allowance; and<\/li>\n<li>(iv) Free health care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NB:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>There is no top-up loan or grant from the Government of Tanzania for candidates who will be offered scholarships other than the one offered by the Government of the Republic of Mauritius.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Application procedure<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>and submission<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>An application form must be filled in electronically, printed and then signed.<\/li>\n<li>Application forms can be obtained from the websites:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/highereducationmauritius.com\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/highereducationmauritius.com<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/education.govmu.org\/Pages\/Mauritius-Africa-Scholarships-2020.aspx\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/education.govmu.org\/Pages\/Mauritius-Africa-Scholarships-2020.aspx<\/a><\/li>\n<li>One set of completed application forms along with copies of relevant documents required should be sent to the address below not later than\u00a0<strong>15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0August, 2022.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Permanent Secretary,<\/p>\n<p>Ministry of Education, Science and Technology,<\/p>\n<p>Government City,<\/p>\n<p>Mtumba Area,<\/p>\n<p>Afya Street,<\/p>\n<p>P.
