They aim to create love and appreciation for South Africa\u2019s historical, natural, and cultural heritage as well as its citizens. The SANS aims to further promote appreciation for all the aspects that are integral to the citizens of the county, and provide general support and publicity to the South African Heritage Resources Agency and the Amafa\/ Heritage KwaZulu-Natal in their aim of preserving the cultural resources of the country. SANS also helps in supporting other organizations\/ bodies facing a similar task.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Killie Campbell was an avid collector, historian and supportive member of the Society. After she passed away in 1965, her collection was bequeathed to the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is now the Killie Campbell Africana Library. The Killie Campbell Bursary was formed in her honour.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ABOUT_THE_SANS_KILLIE_CAMPBELL_BURSARY_PROGRAMME_%E2%80%93_FIELDS_COVERED\"\/>ABOUT THE SANS KILLIE CAMPBELL BURSARY PROGRAMME \u2013 FIELDS COVERED<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The South African National Society (SANS) is inviting students to apply for the\u00a0<strong>Killie Campbell Bursary, for the 2023 (September) and 2024 academic year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bursaries will be awarded to students pursuing\u00a0<strong>Postgraduate studies, in a History related topic<\/strong>\u00a0(the area of research, or dissertation must be on a topic relating to South Africa, preferably KwaZulu-Natal history).<\/p>\n<p>www.zabursaries.co.za is committed to keeping you up to date with the latest bursary opportunities, and this article covers all details about the SANS Killie Campbell Bursary.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"MORE_ABOUT_THE_SANS_KILLIE_CAMPBELL_BURSARY_PROGRAMME_%E2%80%93_VALUE_PAYMENTS\"\/>MORE ABOUT THE SANS KILLIE CAMPBELL BURSARY PROGRAMME \u2013 VALUE &amp; PAYMENTS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The bursary will be awarded to the value of R25 000, for the 2023\/24 academic year.<\/p>\n<p>The bursary award will be paid in two equal tranches, of R12 500 each. The first installment will be paid in September 2023, at the SA National Society monthly meeting. The second installment will be paid 6 months later, after the President of the Society receives a satisfactory written submission by the recipients supervisor.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"MORE_ABOUT_THE_SANS_KILLIE_CAMPBELL_BURSARY_PROGRAMME_%E2%80%93_SELECTION\"\/>MORE ABOUT THE SANS KILLIE CAMPBELL BURSARY PROGRAMME \u2013 SELECTION<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Applicants may be required to attend an interview with the selection committee, before selection is made. The interview will be held in person or electronically (Skype or similar means).<\/p>\n<p>Bursary recipients will be required to provide a brief outline of their topic, at one of the SA National Society\u2019s monthly meetings.
