The Foundation currently operates in 4 countries across Africa, namely South Africa; Namibia; Swaziland and Botswana<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ABOUT_THE_FELLOWSHIP_PROGRAMME_%E2%80%93_FIELDS_COVERED_COVERAGE_VALUE\"\/>ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME \u2013 FIELDS COVERED &amp; COVERAGE VALUE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation award up to 100 Fellowships to deserving students each year, specifically within the following fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Law<\/li>\n<li>Commerce<\/li>\n<li>Science (excl Medicine)<\/li>\n<li>Humanities (majoring in Economics\/ Politics\/ Philosophy)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following study related expenses are covered by the fellowship award: university tuition fees, prescribed books, university accommodation, meals, monthly living stipend, tutor allowance. Students also receive academic support, mentorship and access to a personal development and entrepreneurial programme.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ELIGIBILITY_REQUIREMENTS\"\/>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):<br \/><strong>Grade 12\/ Matric students:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Under 21 years old in 2018<\/li>\n<li>Achieved a minimum of level 5 for Mathematics final results in Grade 11<\/li>\n<li>Achieved a minimum overall average of level 6 for final results in Grade 11 (excluding Life Orientation)<\/li>\n<li>Intend on studying toward a qualification in one of the following fields: Engineering, Law, Commerce, Science (excl Medicine) or Humanities (majoring in Economics\/ Politics\/ Philosophy)<\/li>\n<li>Intend on studying at one of the following fields tertiary institutes: University of Johannesburg\/ University of Pretoria\/ University of the Witwatersrand\/ Rhodes University\/ University of the Free State\/ University of the Western Cape\/ University of Cape Town\/ Stellenbosch University\/ Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University<\/li>\n<li>Believe in the future of South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Possess entrepreneurial flair and passion<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the following qualities: Courageous Commitment, Personal Initiative, Intellectual Imagination, Spirit of, Achievement Excellence<br \/>Significance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>First year University students:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Under 22 years old in 2018<\/li>\n<li>Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for 2018 mid year tertiary results<\/li>\n<li>Studying toward a qualification in one of the following fields: Engineering, Law, Commerce, Science (excl Medicine) or Humanities (majoring in Economics\/ Politics\/ Philosophy)<\/li>\n<li>Studying at one of the following fields tertiary institutes: University of Johannesburg\/ University of Pretoria\/ University of the Witwatersrand\/ Rhodes University\/ University of the Free State\/ University of the Western Cape\/ University of Cape Town\/ Stellenbosch University\/ Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University<\/li>\n<li>Believe in the future of South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Possess entrepreneurial flair and passion<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the
