{"id":746,"date":"2022-06-20T13:17:17","date_gmt":"2022-06-20T13:17:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/autism-scholars-award-for-masters-and-phd-at-ryerson-university-in-canada-2020\/"},"modified":"2022-06-20T13:17:17","modified_gmt":"2022-06-20T13:17:17","slug":"autism-scholars-award-for-masters-and-phd-at-ryerson-university-in-canada-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/autism-scholars-award-for-masters-and-phd-at-ryerson-university-in-canada-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Autism Scholars Award for Masters and PhD at Ryerson University in Canada 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Ryerson University in Canada invites applications for the Autism Scholars Award open to applicants who must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents for academic year.<\/p>\n<p>With the support of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, a scholar awards program in autism has been established to ensure that Ontario attracts and retains pre-eminent scholars.<\/p>\n<p>The community of autism scholars fostered by this awards program will excel, according to internationally accepted standards of scientific excellence, in the creation of new knowledge concerning child autism, and its translation into improved health for children, more effective services and products for children with autism, and increase the province\u2019s capacity in diagnosis and assessment of autism and a strengthened treatment system.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Worth_of_Award\"\/><strong>Worth of Award<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s awards \u2013 $18,000<\/li>\n<li>Doctoral awards \u2013 $20,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eligibility\"\/><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>All applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents<\/li>\n<li>All applicants must be sponsored and endorsed by the dean of graduate studies at Ryerson University<\/li>\n<li>To be eligible for a master\u2019s award, applicants must be registered full-time in a master\u2019s or doctoral graduate program at Ryerson University at the time of taking up the award (i.e., the fall term of 2017-18), and must remain registered full-time in that master\u2019s program throughout the term of the award. Master\u2019s students remain eligible to the end of their sixth term of full-time study.<\/li>\n<li>To be eligible for a doctoral award, applicants must be registered full-time in a doctoral graduate program at Ryerson University at the time of taking up the award (i.e., the fall term of 2017-18), and must remain registered full-time throughout the term of the award. Doctoral students remain eligible to the end of their fifteenth term of full-time study.<\/li>\n<li>Holders of Autism Scholars Awards are precluded from holding any other major award during the term of this award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Apply\"\/><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h4>\n<p>Each applicant must submit an electronic copy of the following documents in a single PDF package by the deadline to Natasha Mills \u2013\u00a0natasha.mills@ryerson.ca<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The completed\u00a0PDF file application form<span class=\" sr-only\">, external link<\/span><\/li>\n<li>A curriculum vitae\u00a0(including information concerning eligibility criteria)<\/li>\n<li>A statement of research to be undertaken during the period of graduate study (maximum 1,000 words). There must also be an additional non-technical summary (maximum 500 words).
