The Alfred Nzo District Municipality and expands from Drakensberg Mountains, to the borders of Lesotho, the Sisonke District Municipality in and O.R. Tambo District Municipality.<\/p>\n<p>The Municipality is named after Alfred Baphethuxolo Nzo, who was a secretary-general of the ANC (African National Congress) and a minister of foreign affairs in Nelson Mandela\u2019s cabinet from 1994 to 1999.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ABOUT_THE_BURSARY_PROGRAMME_%E2%80%93_FIELDS_COVERED\"\/>ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME \u2013 FIELDS COVERED<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The Alfred Nzo District Municipality bursary will fund students following in the following fields (as they are scarce and critical skills):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc Community Water Services and Sanitation<\/li>\n<li>BSc Water Resource Management<\/li>\n<li>Maritime Studies<\/li>\n<li>Geographic Information System<\/li>\n<li>Town and Regional Planning<\/li>\n<li>Other water and sanitation related qualification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Successful bursary recipients will be informed by 31 January 2020 at the latest \u2013 should you not receive any feedback, please regard your application as unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ELIGIBILITY_REQUIREMENTS\"\/>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Reside within the Alfred Nzo jurisdiction area<\/li>\n<li>Between 16 and 35 years old<\/li>\n<li>Completed Matric OR currently in Matric<\/li>\n<li>Intend on studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study<\/li>\n<li>Iintend on studying at a recognised South African tertiary institute<\/li>\n<li>Proven financial need<\/li>\n<li>Excellent academic record<\/li>\n<li>*Preference will be given to disadvantaged students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\"
