According to Section 5(1) (f) the\u00a0Universities Act Cap.346 grants TCU the mandate to establish transfer\u00a0procedures for students wishing to transfer from one university to another and\u00a0from one programme to another.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><em>In view of its obligation, TCU issued procedures for handling \u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tcu.go.tz\/sites\/default\/files\/PUBLIC%20NOTICE%20-%20FIRST%20YEAR%20STUDENTS%20TRANSFER%20PROCEDURES%20FOR%20%20ACADEMIC%20YEAR.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">first year<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tcu.go.tz\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">continuing\u00a0<\/a>students transfers which were in\u00a0operation since 2016\/17 academic year.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>INTRODUCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As provided for by the Universities Act, Cap. 346 of the Laws of Tanzania, Section 5(1) (f), grants the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) the mandate to establish transfer procedures for admitted students wishing to transfer from one university to another, whether the same or different programme (Inter-university transfer) or from one programme to another within an institution (Intra-university transfer).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>TCU wishes to inform the general public and all admitted students into various undergraduate degree programmes in the academic year that <strong>the <em>transfer window is open from today 30<sup>th<\/sup> November to 14<sup>th<\/sup> December, 2020.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0TRANSFER PROCEDURES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The procedures for First Years\u2019 Transfers are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications for transfers should be submitted in writing to the institution to which a student wants to transfer to;<\/li>\n<li>Students transfer from one institution to another or programme within the institution is permissible provided that institutions shall comply with the following conditions:<\/li>\n<li>The student to be transferred must have been previously admitted into a degree programme in the current academic year;<\/li>\n<li>The programme to which transfer is sought must have empty slots to accommodate new students;<\/li>\n<li>The applicant must possess the minimum entry requirements for that particular degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>All transfers shall be processed at the receiving institution; (d)Receiving institutions should approve the transfer in writing and submit to TCU for validation and approval within the set deadline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>NB: <em>TCU urges the Higher Education Institutions and the prospective <\/em>students to abide by the set transfer procedures for the smooth coordination of transfers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As provided in Sections (12) (2) (a) (b) (c) of the Universities Act Cap. 346 of the\u00a0laws of Tanzania read together with regulation 31 (2) (3) (4), the Tanzania\u00a0Commission for Universities (TCU)&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1,19],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-5324","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-all-posts","category-updates"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5324","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=5324"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5324\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5324"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=5324"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=5324"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
