The associate partner University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania) will also contribute to the learning programme. A panel of industrial Associated Partners, including SMEs, large accompanies and associations, will support the EMIMEO programme through concrete contributions. They will constitute an effective network for Master\u2019s theses with the prospect for future career development.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ul-bold\">In a context of increasing demand for research and industrial applications around these topics, EMIMEO Masters is a concrete solution to improve the number of\u00a0<strong>highly qualified students.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Especially, for feeding the research labs and for meeting the demand of the industrial sector. EMIMEO is a thoroughly\u00a0<strong>integrated programme<\/strong>\u00a0with a\u00a0<strong>jointly developed curriculum<\/strong>. Areas covered range from the fundamentals of microwave electronics and photonics to their implementations with new technologies in wired and wireless communications, moving from components to system architectures for communication systems and networks.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-g-rec td-g-rec-id-content_inline tdi_2_404 td_block_template_1 \"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container-fluid \">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"row \">\n<div class=\"col-sm-12 \">\n<div class=\"clearfix ul-element-text \">\n<p>Training courses for students in microwave electronics and photonics are of fundamental importance to prepare them for the\u00a0<strong>future job vacancies<\/strong>\u00a0of the next 5-10 years in the following key joint areas.<\/p>\n<p>Among the<strong>\u00a0identified key priorities<\/strong>\u00a0are networks (energy transports), industrial modernisation (including new technologies, smart grids and digital infrastructures), the potential of clusters for the creation of new ecosystems, and cross-border synergies.<\/p>\n<p>The Photonics Industry Report published in 2013 predicted for the photonics industry a long-term growth. It might be an average of 1.5 times the growth rate of the world gross domestic product. According to the forecast, the key technology will reach a world market volume of \u20ac 615 billion in 2020, based on a market volume of \u20ac 350 billion in 2011. It is evident that research and higher education in the physical sciences and engineering (PSE) have a direct impact on the economy. It is one of the prime drivers for new methods of large data management and communication. PSE covers a wide range of research areas and infrastructures in which microwave and photonics are among the key technologies.\u00a0 They are elements of the day-by-day operation of a large part of infrastructures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Worth_of_Award\"><\/span><strong>Worth of Award<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The scholarship includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Course fees<\/li>\n<li>A one-off contribution to travel and installation costs<\/li>\n<li>A monthly subsistence stipend<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Travel and Installation Payment<\/strong>: The amount received by the successful candidates for travel and installation costs is set by the EC and depends on the distance between the candidate\u2019s residence (at the time of the deadline of the student scholarship application) and the coordinating institution, the University of Wolverhampton, UK.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidates will receive a \u20ac1000 stipend per month \u2013 this is only paid when the student is\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0in their country of residence.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eligibility\"><\/span><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"ul-bold\"><strong>Entry-level Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor diploma in Electronic Engineering, telecommunication engineering or applied physics. The applicants might have solid bases in signal processing, electromagnetism, telecommunications, embedded systems, analogue and digital electronics, propagation of electromagnetic waves and principle of photonics. Moreover, the applicant might submit the final grade of the bachelor\u2019s Programme. For instance, applicants can convert their grade through the\u00a0enic-naric\u00a0recognition convention.<\/li>\n<li>Previous professional experience (industrial internship, academic project, summer jobs) and\/or research experience. Above all, the applicant has to justify a cumulative work experience of 4 weeks with a positive assessment;<\/li>\n<li>3 reference letters from persons having reasonable knowledge of the candidate skills and potentials;<\/li>\n<li>Study curriculum \u2013 List of the 180 acquired ECTS;<\/li>\n<li>Marks of all university exams for the bachelor\u2019s Programme;<\/li>\n<li>A motivation letter \/ cover letter;<\/li>\n<li>Publications relevant to the contents of the Master Programme\u00a0(e.g. internship reports);<\/li>\n<li>Foreign language skills.
