The Agency was established in May 2002 in accordance with the Executive Agencies Act No. 30 of 1997 as a transformation of the Building Department (BD) within the Ministry of Works (formerly known as the Ministry of Infrastructure Development).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functions of Tanzania Buildings Agency (TBA) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"sw-KE\">The main role of TBA is to provide accomodation for the government and public servants as well as building consultancy services to the government.
