The programme was founded as the results of poor Mathematics and Science marks in high schools across the country \u2013 it aims to support high school pupils by improving their Mathematics and Science results<\/p>\n<p>Funded by Investec and numerous other funders, the programme has had a successful 11 year track record of assisting students in Maths and Science, as well as producing students with ambition, discipline and are high achievers.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ABOUT_THE_BURSARY_PROGRAMME\"\/>ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The Promaths Bursary, fully administered by the StudyTrust, are awarding bursaries to full time University and University of Technology students to pursue their studies in a rare skills field.<\/p>\n<p>Bursaries are for Promaths alumni, who have attended a Promaths or Kutlwanong centre.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ELIGIBILITY_REQUIREMENTS\"\/>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Strong academic potential<\/li>\n<li>Passed all previous subjects<\/li>\n<li>Attended a Promaths or Kutlwanong centre in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Accepted to study towards a rare skills national diploma or degree qualification<\/li>\n<li>Accepted to study full time at a recognised public tertiary institution in South Africa (students at private institutions will not be funded)<\/li>\n<li>Proven financial need<\/li>\n<li>*Preference will be given to female students and residing in rural areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"HOW_TO_APPLY_FOR_THE_BURSARY\"\/>HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BURSARY<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Applications must be done in one of the following ways:<br \/>1) Online at:\u00a0<strong>http:\/\/www.studietrust.co.za<\/strong><br \/>2) By downloading and completing the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zabursaries.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/StudyTrust-Bursary-Application-Form-2019.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Promaths StudyTrust Bursary Application Form<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(.pdf)<br \/>Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory \u2013 if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ID document (certified copy of)<\/li>\n<li>Matric June results, if currently in Matric (certified copy of)<\/li>\n<li>Matric certificate\/ results, if completed Matric (certified copy of)<\/li>\n<li>Complete tertiary academic record, if at tertiary level (certified copy of)<\/li>\n<li>Proof of admission\/ provisional admission to the institution you applied at, if not currently at tertiary level<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n<li>Essay about your life (to be completed on the application form)<\/li>\n<li>2 testimonials (1 from an educational official and 1 from a community or spiritual leader \u2013 to be completed on the application form)<\/li>\n<li>Parents\/ guardians proof of income:\n<ul>\n<li>if unemployed: sworn affidavits<\/li>\n<li>if employed: latest payslips (certified copies of)<\/li>\n<li>if self-employed: sworn affidavit declaring monthly income or latest audited financial statements (certified copies of)<\/li>\n<li>if deceased: death certificate or a sworn affidavit (certified copies of)<\/li>\n<li>if residing with your guardian while parents are alive: guardians latest payslips (certified copies of)<\/li>\n<li>if parents are divorced: divorce certificate (certified copy of)<\/li>\n<li>if parents are separated: sworn statement from one parent confirming separation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hardcopy applications must be submitted in one of the following ways:<br \/>1) Email: apply@studytrust.org.za<br \/>2) Fax: 086 538 1537<br \/>3) Post:<br \/>The National Director<br \/>StudyTrust<br \/>Private Bag X16<br \/>Braamfontein<br \/>2017<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"CLOSING_DATE\"\/>CLOSING DATE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>31 August 2018.<br \/>(Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted \u2013 please apply before the closing date to ensure your application is considered.)<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"CONTACT_THE_BURSARY_PROVIDER\"\/>CONTACT THE BURSARY PROVIDER<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>For any queries related to this bursary programme, please contact Study Trust directly:<br \/>Contact Person: Mr Themba Mdluli (Bursary Applications &amp;
