The bank offers various banking and related financial services, including Consumer Banking; Private Banking; Investment Banking and Commercial Banking; as well as Wealth Management; Investment Management; Insurance and Foreign Currency Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>The Standard Bank Group currently employs over 55 000 staff members, is present in 20 African countries and is the biggest banking group by assets in Africa.<br \/>The JSE listed company is one of the countries 4 full-service banks, and owns a large stake in Liberty Holdings Limited, a South African listed insurance company.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ABOUT_THE_BURSARY_PROGRAMMES_%E2%80%93_FIELDS_COVERED_AND_COVERAGE_VALUE\"\/>ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMMES \u2013 FIELDS COVERED AND COVERAGE VALUE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The Standard Bank 150 bursary programme was established in honour of the banks 150th anniversary in 2012. The bursary, administered by the StudyTrust, provides full-cost sponsorship, including tuition fees; prescribed books; study materials; laptop computer; accommodation; meals; transport and a monthly stipendfor various living expenses.<\/p>\n<p>There are 2 types of bursaries being awarded:<br \/><strong>The Standard Bank Group 150 Undergraduate Bursary<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 aimed at students who are currently studying in their first year and need funding from their second year onward. Bursaries are awarded within the following fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Science<\/li>\n<li>Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>Commerce<\/li>\n<li>Technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Standard Bank Group 150 Postgraduate Bursary<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 aimed at students who are currently studying towards a postgraduate qualification.
