ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SAMIA SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE YEAR 2023\/2024<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n FUNDING THROUGH THE SAMIA SCHOLARSHIP FOR HIGH ACHIEVING GRADUATES IN THE FORM SIX EXAMINATIONS OF 2023 IN SCIENCE SPECIALTIES<\/span><\/p>\n 1.0 INTRODUCTION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology announces the SAMIA SCHOLARSHIP funding program for undergraduate studies for students who achieved top grades in the Form Six examinations of 2023 conducted by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) in Science specialties (PCB, PCM, PGM, CBG, CBA, PMC, and CBN).<\/span><\/p>\n The SAMIA SCHOLARSHIP will fully fund (100%) higher education for these students who have secured admission in the fields of Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n The scholarship will be awarded to Form Six graduates with the following qualifications:<\/span><\/p>\n Funding will be in line with the guidelines of the Higher Education Student Loan Board to cover the following:<\/span><\/p>\n a. Tuition fees<\/span><\/p>\n b. Food and accommodation allowances<\/span><\/p>\n c. Book and stationery allowances<\/span><\/p>\n d. Specific faculty requirements<\/span><\/p>\n e. Practical training<\/span><\/p>\n f. Research<\/span><\/p>\n g. Assisting devices for special needs students<\/span><\/p>\n h. Health insurance<\/span><\/p>\n The funded students will be covered for a period of three (03) to five (05) years, depending on the particular program they are enrolled in.<\/span><\/p>\n Applications for the Samia Scholarship should be submitted online at <\/a> within 14 days starting from September 25, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n The student who secures the SAMIA SCHOLARSHIP funding must adhere to the following:<\/span><\/p>\n a. Must read, understand, and sign an Agreement of Study Sponsorship between him\/her and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology;<\/span><\/p>\n b. Must have a bank account for direct payment of the funds;<\/span><\/p>\n c. The beneficiary will not be allowed to change the funded program without written permission from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology;<\/span><\/p>\n d. The beneficiary will not be allowed to defer studies, except for medical reasons, verified by the respective institution;<\/span><\/p>\n e.
