The company was formed with the goal of providing the over 5 million people of Johannesburg with accessibility to quality sanitation services and water.<\/p>\n<p>Johannesburg Water supplies and distributes over 1500 megalitres of potable water every day, which is procured treated from Rand Water. JW operates across 6 regions, with 6 wastewater treatment plants and 10 network depots. The company employs around 2500 staff members and has a turnover of over R8 billion.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ABOUT_THE_BURSARY_PROGRAMME_%E2%80%93_FIELDS_COVERED_COVERAGE_VALUE_SERVICE_CONTRACT\"\/>ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME \u2013 FIELDS COVERED, COVERAGE VALUE &amp; SERVICE CONTRACT<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Bursaries will be awarded within the following Water industry-related fields of study:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Civil Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The bursary will provide full coverage for study related expenses and students will be given the chance to take part in vacation work or practical training while studying.<\/p>\n<p>Once students have graduated, they must work for Johannesburg Water. The service contract will be equal to the duration of bursary funding received.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ELIGIBILITY_REQUIREMENTS\"\/>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Completed Matric OR currently in Matric<\/li>\n<li>Studying or intend on studying full-time in one of the aforementioned fields of study<\/li>\n<li>Studying or intend on studying at a recognised University or University of Technology<\/li>\n<li>Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for the current year of study<\/li>\n<li>Engineering degree students: must have achieved a minimum of level 6 for Mathematics and Science in Matric<\/li>\n<li>Proven financial need<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"HOW_TO_APPLY_FOR_THE_BURSARY\"\/>HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BURSARY<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>You may apply in one of the following ways:<br \/>1) Online at:\u00a0<strong>http:\/\/cw.gradx.net\/<\/strong><br \/>(You will need to register an account and then login to complete your application.
