Techn\u0113\u2019s vision is to produce scholars who are highly motivated and prepared for academic, public or professional life.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Worth_of_Award\"\/><strong>Worth of Award<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully-funded studentships (stipend and fee waiver) will be awarded by\u00a0<em>techn\u0113<\/em>\u00a0to the best students put forward by its member universities.<\/li>\n<li>Successful applicants will benefit from a rich and diverse training Programme with a focus on interdisciplinarity and developing career potential both in and beyond higher education;<\/li>\n<li>Applicants will be able to draw on supervisory expertise from across the partnership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eligibility\"\/><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h4>\n<div class=\"sys_span6\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"removeBottomSpace\"><strong>Academic qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong>Applicants must satisfy AHRC eligibility requirements and should normally have a master\u2019s degree.<\/li>\n<li>Students who have already commenced doctoral study at Brighton may be eligible to apply for AHRC awards through techn\u0113<em>.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"removeBottomSpace\"><strong>Residential eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must be a resident of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA). In general, full studentships are available to students who are settled in the UK and have been ordinarily resident for a period of at least three years before the start of postgraduate studies.<\/li>\n<li>Fees-only awards are generally available to EU nationals resident in the EEA.<\/li>\n<li>International applicants are normally not eligible to apply for this studentship.<\/li>\n<li>See techn\u0113 guidance notes (included in the techn\u0113 online application process) for full details of residency requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sys_span6\">\n<p class=\"removeBottomSpace\"><strong>English language entry requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants whose first language is not English must have successfully completed a Secure English language Test (SELT) in the last two years.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants who have obtained or are studying for a UK degree may apply without a SELT.
