{"id":1451,"date":"2022-06-21T05:25:45","date_gmt":"2022-06-21T05:25:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/fasset-bursary-south-africa\/"},"modified":"2022-06-21T05:25:45","modified_gmt":"2022-06-21T05:25:45","slug":"fasset-bursary-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uptymes.com\/edu\/fasset-bursary-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"FASSET Bursary South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"About_FASSET\"\/>About\u00a0FASSET<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET)\u00a0is a public entity established in terms of the Skills Development Act (Act 97 of 1998) and Skills Development Levies Act (Act no 9 of 1999).<\/p>\n<p>It serves the\u00a0finance and accounting services sector such as investment entities,\u00a0stockbroking and financial markets, financial development organisations, accounting, bookkeeping, auditing and tax services, business and management consulting services, the South African Revenue Service, the national and provincial treasuries and other ventures serving financial processes such as debt collection.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"FASSET_Bursaries\"\/>FASSET Bursaries<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h2>\n<p>FASSET offers bursaries to South African learners\u00a0who are at least in 2nd year and are registered for an undergraduate qualification in BCom Finance, BCom Accounting and BCom Economics at University of the Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p>The bursary covers tuition fees. A fixed amount for textbooks and other academic essentials may be awarded according to funds availability.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bursary_Requirements_and_Eligibility\"\/>Bursary Requirements and Eligibility<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>South African citizens,\u00a0Black and Coloured learners in the Western and Northern Cape learners and\/or became a South African citizen before 27 April 1994<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled 2nd year students (higher years are also eligible) for an undergraduate qualification in BCom Finance, BCom Accounting and BCom Economics at UWC<\/li>\n<li>Passed the modules from the previous year of study<\/li>\n<li>Maximum R600 000 per annum gross combined household income (income before deductions)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Apply_and_Application_Details\"\/>How to Apply and Application Details<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>You can apply for the FASSET Bursary one of the following ways:<\/p>\n<p>1 \u2013 You will need to register an account at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/careerwise.co.za\/applications\/registrations\/\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">CareersWise Website<\/a>\u00a0and apply for the\u00a0FASSET Bursary programme.<\/p>\n<p>2 \u2013\u00a0 Download and complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/allbursaries.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/FASSET-CareerWise-Bursary-Application-Form.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">FASSET Bursary Application Form<\/a>.
