The company\u00a0produces and operates energy projects.\u00a0Globeleq manages three independent power producing utility projects such as\u00a0Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm,\u00a0De Aar Solar Power\u00a0and\u00a0Droogfontein Solar Power. These projects resulted from the partnership of Globeleq with the South African government, Eskom and private sector businesses and local neighborhoods. Globeleq, a leading operator of electricity production in Africa owns\u00a0<span class=\"first-word\">Globeleq South Africa Management Services\u00a0<\/span>as a subsidiary.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Globeleq_Renewable_Energy_Scholarship\"\/>Globeleq\u00a0Renewable Energy Scholarship<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h2>\n<p>The Renewable Energy Scholarship Fund (RESF) was founded in 2014 and is being managed by Globeleq that\u00a0owns three renewable energy facilities in South Africa. These energy facilities include the\u00a0Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm,\u00a0Droogfontein Solar Power\u00a0and\u00a0De Aar Solar Power, who also finance RESF funds. The three energy facilities produce power independently and are the first large-scale renewable power plants built in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The Fund helps mechatronic, electrical and electro-mechanical engineering students to finish their education, in order to work\u00a0for the renewable energy and other engineering sectors. This is in line with RESF\u2019s aims to address the demand in the renewable energy industry for qualified engineers, create a continuous flow of skills that are necessary for the company\u00a0as well as contribute to the energy industry and the country.<\/p>\n<p>The following institutions are accepted for the Renewable Energy Scholarship Fund:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University of Johannesburg<\/li>\n<li>Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University<\/li>\n<li>Walter Sisulu University<\/li>\n<li>Cape Peninsula University of Technology<\/li>\n<li>Central University of Technology<\/li>\n<li>Durban University of Technology<\/li>\n<li>Mangosuthu University of Technology<\/li>\n<li>Tshwane University of Technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The RESF covers the costs of course fees, registration fees, accommodation and meal allowance, books and other learning materials costs and living expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of studies, scholars are expected to perform a service obligation of 12 months. Scholars may also be selected for an Internship program, towards the completion of their qualification. However, internships are not guaranteed for each scholar.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Globeleq_Scholarship_Requirements_and_Eligibility\"\/>Globeleq\u00a0Scholarship Requirements and Eligibility<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>South African citizens<\/li>\n<li>Students of mechatronic \/ electrical \/ electro-mechanical engineering towards a National Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s in Technology qualifications<\/li>\n<li>Upcoming 2nd year or higher in the next academic year<\/li>\n<li>Interest in renewable energy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Apply_and_Application_Details\"\/>How to Apply and Application Details<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Currently closed but will reopen within June 2018. Follow the instructions to complete the application form and upload the documents that will be required.<\/p>\n<p>Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview, which will take place either at your institution or at a venue nearby, on the month of October.
