About Bushbuckridge Local Municipality<\/h3>\n

Bushbuckridge Local Municipality is located in the south- eastern part of Limpopo Province and northeastern part of Mpumalanga Province. The municipality connects Lydenburg and other centres in the lowveld, specifically Hoedspruit, Pilgrim Rest and Graskop.<\/p>\n

The Municipality covers 198,000 hectares of land area which consist of 1970 hectares agricultural land, 1860 hectares residential area as well as some bodies of water. Bushbuckridge Local Municipality consists of 135 settlements and is divided into 34 wards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bushbuckridge Local Municipality Bursaries<\/h3>\n

The Bushbuckridge Local Municipality bursaries are open to students who wants to continue studies in engineering, information technology, tourism, accounting, auditing, town planning and development, quantity survey, architecture, agriculture, public management, finance, economics, chemistry, communication, law, social science and statistics. Bursaries will be awarded to candidates who belong to indigent families and are residing within the municipal area of jurisdiction.<\/p>\n

Bursary will only be given to the allocated field of study, change of course is not allowed.\u00a0Applicants who are currently studying at a higher education institution are not eligible to apply.<\/p>\n

  • South African citizen residing in Bushbuckridge Local Municipality<\/li>\n
  • Students of above mentioned fields of studies<\/li>\n
  • Proven financial need<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    1. Complete and submit Bushbuckridge Local Municipality\u00a0application form\u00a0to municipal Head Office and\/or nearest municipal Regional Office. Check contact details below.<\/li>\n
    2. Submit your application with the following documents:\n

      • Certified copies of birth certificate or ID<\/li>\n
      • Certified copies of salary\u00a0parents\/guardians proof of income<\/li>\n
      • Certified copies of grade 12 certificate or a copy of grade 12 June examination results<\/li>\n
      • For applicants with disability, provide certification from a\u00a0medical doctor<\/li>\n
      • Acceptance letter from a tertiary institution<\/li>\n
      • Proof of residence<\/li>\n
      • A letter from local social worker confirming indigent status<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Email, faxed and incomplete forms will not be considered. Only successful applicants will be contacted. If no response received by the 10th February, consider applications unsuccessful.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
