Refer to the university\u2019s policy documents.\u00a0 It is the sole responsibility of the student to familiarise him\/herself with the general\/faculty regulations. A number of regulations apply to the various degrees and options.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Three sets of regulations are applicable:<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_General_Regulations_of_the_University\"\/>A. \u00a0General Regulations of the University<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h5>\n<p>These are applicable to all faculties and consequently also to the qualifications and programmes of this school. Unless otherwise specified, the general regulation regarding Baccalaureus degrees applies to the degrees set forth below.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a class=\"\" title=\"UFS General Regulations\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ufs.ac.za\/about-the-ufs\/governance\/policy-documents\/#admission_req\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general regulations<\/a>\u00a0are available in Part I of the University Rule Book, available at the UFS SASOL Library, and deal with important issues such as the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Admission to the university, degree and diploma studies, and occasional study (separate courses).<\/li>\n<li>Registration as a student, course adjustments, simultaneous registration, course compilation, duration of study, prerequisites, acknowledgement of courses passed at another institution.<\/li>\n<li>Degrees with honours, re-admission and preventing students from continuing, re-assessment, special assessment, examination hall rules, misreading of examination timetable, results and mark sheets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The assessment and other regulations applicable to you are summarised in the regulations below.<\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"B_Faculty_Regulations\"\/>B.
