The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) conducts the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) in various countries across West Africa. This examination is held in different sessions throughout the year, including June, July, November, and December. June Session
How to check WAEC SSCE Result
- Visit the official WAEC website
- Click on the “Result Checker” tab
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number.
(This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789) - Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2002
- Select the Type of Examination
- Enter the Card Serial Number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card.
- Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card
- Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up
Important information
- Results are usually released a few weeks after the examination
- Candidates can also check their results through SMS by sending a specific code to a designated number
- The result checker portal may experience heavy traffic during result release, so it is advisable to check at non-peak times
