Academic International School (AIS), established since 1994, is a coeducational, day private school, using English as the medium of instruction. It has three sections – nursery, primary and secondary. The School is owned and managed by Academic International School Limited (AISL). The Managing Director of AISL is also the School Manager. School principals handle the school’s day-to-day affairs. The School Committee elected by parents and a school board appointed by the Government, assist in the management of the School. The operations of the School are governed by the provisions of the Tanzania Education Act No. 25 of 1978 (amended in 1995) and directives that may be issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture from time to time. Academic International School has striven to live up to its motto – EXCELLENCE AND COMMITMENT FOR A PURPOSE.
