Sponsorship Opportunity for Master of Public Health (MPH) With The KCMC-Duke collaboration HIV- Social Behavioral Sciences Training and Research Program
Applicants are invited to submit an application to the MPH program at the University of Cape Town. This new opportunity is aimed at supporting MPH trainee in the field of public health with an overarching goal of developing research capacity in HIV-focused sociobehavioral sciences. Successful applicants will develop their potential to become research scientists within a structured and mentored training environment. Applicants will be expected to be Tanzanian citizens holding an MD. MBCliB, MBBS degree or any other social sciences related qualifications. The MPH training will run for two years. Graduates will be required to serve at K.CMC for a minimum of five years following their graduation. Successful applicants will receive a competitive stipend, travel costs, laptop and books allowance. Applicants must show a commitment to pursuing a research and academic career at KCMC.

Please provide your names, address, e-mail address and daytime telephone contact number: current curriculum vitae, copies of your post-secondary official transcripts, two supporting letters together with the telephone numbers, addresses and e-mail addresses of the referees (at least one letter of support must be fr om a senior faculty member of your home institution who can attest to your academic aptitude outlining your career and research goals and how the training program will assist you to achieve the goals), and a 2-3 page personal statement.
Selection process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their initial application and recommendation letters. A personal interview will be requested for competitive applicants. The selected candidate must then apply to the University of Cape Town for admission to the MPH Programs, and if admitted, HIV- Social Behavioral Sciences Training and Research Program will provide financial support including tuition, travel, training related materials like laptop, books etc .Successful candidates will matriculate in 2020.
