University of Bagamoyo (UB) offer foundational education, specialized knowledge and multi-faceted learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom. Also introducing various initiatives to help students better understand themselves, strengthen their foundation in core subjects, and learn through engagement and collaboration.
College of Education
The College of Education is one of the three pioneering Constituent Colleges of the University of Bagamoyo. Its main focus is initially to focus on graduate education as where the baseline survey has shown to have deficit in the current national educational structure. However, specialized, high demand undergraduate programs are be accommodated so as to meet the holistic formation of a human being in the mission of the University of Bagamoyo.
The General Objectives of the College
The College was established with specific objectives namely;

- Contribute in meeting the growing demand for graduate teachers in the country, especially in emerging and high demand fields such as ICT, Mathematics, Accountancy, English Language, Environmental Science, Life Sciences, and Foreign Languages.
- Expand the pool of education experts through strong graduate education.
- Meet the demand for recurrent retooling needs among teachers and educators in general.
The Structure of the College

This faculty will offer two specialized teaching programs:
- BA Education: Aiming at preparation of secondary school teachers in Second Language Teaching, Teaching of emerging disciplines such as ICT, Economics, Accountancy, Commerce, and Business Studies.
- BSc Education: Aiming at preparation of secondary school teachers to teach Mathematics, Statistics, basic sciences (e.g. biology, chemistry and physics) and Applied Sciences ( e.g., Environmental and Health )

College of Law Programs
The College of Law offers, inter alia, professional LLB, LLM, and PhD. degrees. The College consists of three academic units namely; the Faculty of Law, the Institute of Human Rights & Governance, and the Graduate School of Law.
Admission Requirements
The applicants for the all programmes at UB College of Law which is Faculty of law, the Institute of Human Rights & Governance and the Graduate School of Law must fulfill the requirements for admission which include admission by the UB College of Law Academic Board and approval by the UB Senate.
Institute of Human Rights & Governance
The Institute of Human Rights & Governance (IHRG) of the UB College of Law offers inter alia, non degree programmes such as Para-legal training, certificate in law, diploma in law and tailored training programmes in legal, human rights and governance fields in tandem with university standards. Later it will offer undergraduate degree programmes on human rights law and governance.

College of Science, Informatics and Built Environment Programs
The College of Science, Informatics and the Built Environment is one of the three pioneering Constituent Colleges of the University of Bagamoyo. Its main focus is initially to focus on graduate education in science and informatics where various baseline surveys have shown a big deficit in the current national educational structure. An equally important area of concern that this college places emphasis on is the lack of scientists and professionals versed in the fields of environmental science, environmental management, planning, design and construction in the built environment and geo-science. The academic research and outreach programs of the college are designed to address these key national deficiencies while at the same time accommodating the University’s mission of the holistic formation of a scientists, engineers and professionals who are conscious of the African peoples painful history and at the same time are capable of rising above the limitations imposed by the African peoples past history.

College of Business and Economic Studies (COBES)
About the College.
The College Business and Economic Studies (COBES) was established in 2016 as provided for by the University of Bagamoyo Charter and in light of socio-economic demands of society which is currently pushing hard to reduce the massive unemployment in Tanzania especially amongst the youth, set for industrialization, and to participate gainfully in the international cum regional trade and development arena it is in.
The University of Bagamoyo was was accredited to operate as a Higher Education Institution in 2009 and comprises, inter alia, Colleges of Law, Sciences, Education and its allied sciences. The university operates in the City of Da es Salaam at the moment and soon to be in the city of Bagamoyo. The University has been offering courses at certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate and Post Graduate degree levels.
The College of Business and Economic Studies intends to have offerings at all levels as is the pattern with other colleges of the university of Bagamoyo.
The General Objectives of the College, Production of Job Creators.
The College is the fourth to be established by the University of Bagamoyo. Though not directly related to the other three colleges, its creation is a major step to the university’s consolidation and constructive diversification. On the basis of the foundations laid already in Sciences, Education and Law, the university symbiotically brings in, the BES College, to train students who as graduates capacities to be largely Job creators than job seekers. Already some students from existing colleges have produced locally a carbonated/fizzy drink and have come to management for support in the next steps to be taken. The college aims at ensuring that students, working in teams, deal with such matters through Business Incubations(in centres) integrating acquired knowledge and skills to professionally plan their new business start-ups and commercialize smoothly and create jobs through their enterprises. Accordingly the Colleges programs have been designed purposively to deliver such objectives.. Through well thought-out Quality assurance systems management, monitoring and evaluations will ensure the design objectives are realized through skill-formation techniques in case studies, tutorials and feasibility studies which will be encouraged as part of course fulfilments. Student assessments will also target such deliverables without exceptions.
