Middlesex University Mauritius
The Mauritius Campus is located at flic-en-flac. Middlesex University has a strong existing presence in Mauritius and the development of this new campus offers the opportunity to create a bespoke teaching environment, which both improves quality and responds to the current and future aspirations of the staff and students.
A year ago, Middlesex University formed a joint venture partnership with local group Medine with to creat a state -of-the art University campus within the proposed Medine smart city in Flic en Flac. This bold vision has transformed the student experience in Mauritius by providing a cutting –edge infra structure for students in an environmentally conscious landscaped campus and enabled us to expand our portfolio of programmes. This is in line with our commitment to providing an excellent student learning experience in Mauritius that is accessible across the region and accords with our mission to provide accessible education globally.
From concept to reality
All our buildings are named after buildings on our London Campus or former Middlesex campuses, thus continuing the theme of connectivity between the campus and London and the concept of “one Middlesex”
College Lecture Theatres & Enfield and Hendon Classroom Buildings
Our new campus has three lecture theatres. Two of these seat 75 students whilst the third equipped with sense surround sound can seat up to 90 students with 5.1 surround sound, screens linked with internet access and VC connectionsAll teaching spaces are connected to the internet and are well equipped with high-end audio visual technology.
Bounds Green Laboratory Building
This building houses our computer, biodiversity and psychology laboratories. Some laboratories have specialist facilities including networking and robotics facilities.
Archway Building
The focus of this building is student support and our administrative function. The main reception for the campus is located here.
Student House
Designed to provide space for student led activities for clubs, societies and downtime as well as an ecumenical prayer room.
Hornsey Library Building
Named after one of the original colleges that formed Middlesex this building houses the book collection, additional computer facilities for online learning, group, and quiet study spaces.
Colindale Building
Our students and staff have access to a range of refreshments including an on-site cafeteria in the Colindale Building.
An offsite restaurant provides an extended food and beverage choice and is open for extended hours.
