The Office for Postgraduate Studies
The Office for Postgraduate Studies serves as a link to various student support services. It makes available academic development programs, postgraduate workshops, and courses for all registered UCT postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Some of these take place online, such as the Journeys in Research Writing course.
Continuing Education Unit (CEU) at the Faculty of Health Sciences
The CEU facilitates short courses, seminars, and workshops offered by the various departments in the UCT Faculty of Health Sciences for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of healthcare professionals. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) lower the barriers to education. They have no entry requirements and can be done by anyone, anywhere who has access to the internet. UCT has partnered with platforms like Coursera and Future Learn to offer exceptional courses and specializations. UCT staff and students also have special access to platforms like LinkedIn Learning, Khan Academy, and SUSE Academic program.
Certified Short Courses
UCT has developed a number of paid-for short courses available through the online learning platform Getsmarter. Through this partnership, UCT’s expertise and career-focused curricula are available to a global audience.
