BACHELOR OF ARTS IN GEOGRAPHY & ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES (BAGES) – (3 years)

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN HISTORY (BAH) – (3 years)

Entry Requirements

The applicant should possess:

i)Five passes at Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) of the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) or its equivalent, three of which should be at credit level (C) in relevant subjects.

PLUS

ii)Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least two

(2)Principal passes in appropriate subjects of not less than 4.5 points excluding Religious studies (those with higher scores will be given priority).

OR

iii)Holders of appropriate and recognized Diplomas of not less than Second Class (GPA of 3.5) or above.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE WITH EDUCATION (BScED) – (3 years)

Entry Requirements

i)Five passes including relevant science subjects at Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) of the National Examinations Council (NECTA) of Tanzania or its equivalent, three of which should be at credit level (‘C’ is a minimum).

PLUS

ii)Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least two

(2)principal passes in relevant science subjects of not less than 4 points.

OR

iii) Holders of recognized and relevant Diplomas of not less than Second Class level (GPA 3.5) or above.

BACHELOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION & MANAGEMENT (BITAM) – (3 years)

Entry Requirements

i.Three credit passes (‘C’ is minimum) at Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) of the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) or its equivalent.

PLUS

Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least two (2) Principal passes, provided that subject combination is not merely comprised of languages or religious subjects.

OR

ii.A Diploma in IT, Computer Science or other relevant accredited Diploma by recognized Institutions with a GPA of not less than 3.5.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY WITH EDUCATION (BSc & IT-Ed) – (3 years)

Entry Requirements

i)Two principal passes at the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent, obtained from the following science subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology or geography, with a total of not less than 4.0 points. A subsidiary in the second subject will be allowed if the candidate obtains a ‘D’ grade or above in the subject he/she wishes to major in his/her undergraduate degree.

AND

Three credits ‘C’ in the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) of the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA or East African Certificate of Education (EACE) – “O” level or its equivalent.

OR

ii)A relevant accredited Diploma, by recognized Institutions with a GPA of not less than 3.5, where a candidate majored in any of the five science subjects listed

above. Holders of Diploma in Computer Science will be admitted for ‘IT – Mathematics degree combinations only.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (BScEH) – (3 years)

Entry Requirements

i)Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least two

(2)principal passes of not less than four (4) points in all subjects, the applicants should have a background of science.

PLUS

Five passes at Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) of the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) or its equivalent, three of which should be at credit level (‘C) in Science subjects.

OR

ii)Holders of a recognized Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences or any other relevant Diplomas of not less than Second Class grade (GPA 3.5). Applicants with working experience have more advantage.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BScN) – (3 years)

Entry Requirements

Students to be enrolled in this programme are nurses with Diploma in Nursing and/or Midwifery/psychiatry who have a pass at ‘B+’ grade at the exits examination. They should be Form IV with at least 2 credits in the science subjects. They also need a minimum of two years working experience.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (BScCS) – (3 years)

Entry Requirements

i)Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE), or its equivalent, with at least two (2) principal (4.0 points) where one must be on Advanced Mathematics.

AND

Three credits ‘C’ in the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) issued by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) or East African Certificate of Education (EACE) – “O” level or its equivalent

OR

ii)A relevant accredited Diploma (Information Technology or Computer Science) by recognized Institutions with GPA of not less than 3.5, with calculated GPA of Mathematics and Computing courses of not less than 3.0.

BACHELOR OF TOURISM MANAGEMENT AND MARKETING (BATMM) – (3 years)

Entry Requirements

i.Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least two principal passes (4.0 points) in English Language, History, Geography, Economics, Book keeping, and Commerce as well as Science subjects.

AND

ii.Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) of the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) or East African Certificate of Education (E.A.C.E) ‘O’ level with at least three credits (C) or five simple passes

OR

iii.A recognized diplomas in Heritage Management, Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Hotel and Catering, Hotel Operations, Tour Guiding, Sales and Marketing, Education, Language studies, Accountancy, Marketing and Museums studies and relevant diplomas from any higher recognized learning Institution with an average GPA of at least 3.5
